The struggle bus
I am struggling to get what’s in my head onto paper this week. Divine Games is at a point that a lot of things have changed. Characters have gone off the rails, in a good way for the book, but not for me.
Emotional scenes and hard choices. I love this kind of writing. Unfortunately my head is not in the game this week. So things are slow and sluggish. But such is the game of writing. There are days that flow and everything turns out the way you want it. Then there are days, like I have had this week, where everything feels forced. I may need to step back a few days and let my brain sort things out before working on the scenes more.
