Hey There Friends
Life in general
To follow our passion or to let it rest
Sometimes, life gets in the way of progress. Death, bills, chaos, just for the sake of chaos, make it so you pass by your passion wishing you had the time or the energy to work on it.
And then, sometimes, it gives you all the time in the world to get things done. You sit at your workspace with all the thoughts and stories and energy that has been left to stew for the past however days, weeks, months. Your fingers itch to hit those keys. To hold that pen that you love. To give those worlds life. Breath fresh words into characters that have lived in your head for too long.
This has been me lately. This week has been wonderful. Words have flowed, like a sweet waterfall after the rain. My characters are happy. Not with what I am making them do. But with the act of just being brought to life on the page.
I am hoping to keep this momentum for the next two months. I want to get Divine Games Draft 2 done before I go to visit family in July. This way I can enjoy the time with them and not have my book so heavily on my mind.
Honestly I don’t know where I was going with this. Other than to say that sometimes we all need to let life and it’s chaos pass before we can do what we love to do. I know some people will disagree. We are told to push through. To keep going. To write no matter what. No. We need to rest, regroup, and let our emotions take over for a while. Our passion will still be there. Waiting. Give yourself grace.
Thank you my friends for reading and following me on this weird adventure. Let me know what you are working on or not working on. Are you giving yourself grace and taking the time to rest and reset? I would love to hear all about it.

Yes. I’m taking a break for balticon and Memorial Day
Yeah, some days, it's just too much do deal with life and then be productive too. I hope now that you're back to writing, the words keep flowing as you need them to.
